Dr. Naylor Dehorning Paste - 4 oz Direction For Use: With shears or clippers remove hair over horn button. Apply dehorning paste with wood applicator only once to a spot the size of a five cent piece on animals one to seven days old. On animals over seven days old, apply to the spot the size of a quarter. Older calves: For calves six to eight weeks old, where horn buttons have started to grow, roughen a ring around the base of the horn where it joins the skin (do not draw blood). Apply dehorning paste once only over horn button and roughened ring around horn button.
