Preparing Your Wool for Delivery

Before bringing your wool to the Lethbridge depot:

  • Wool should be dry before being bagged and delivered.
  • Keep wool as clean as reasonably possible and free from unnecessary contamination.
  • Bag and identify your wool appropriately for delivery.
  • Contact the Lethbridge team before arriving to arrange a convenient drop-off time.

Once received, your wool will be stored and prepared for transportation to CCWG's Carleton Place grading facility.

 What Happens to My Wool?

Your wool doesn't need to travel across the country with you — we'll take care of that.

Wool delivered to the Lethbridge depot is consolidated and transported to CCWG's Carleton Place facility in Ontario. There, the wool is graded according to its quality and characteristics before being marketed through CCWG's national wool marketing system.

This gives Southern Alberta producers local access to Canada's co-operative wool marketing network without having to arrange long-distance transportation themselves.
